CAM4 Newest ASACP Corporate Sponsor

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced that live webcam community CAM4 is its newest corporate sponsor.

“CAM4 feels very strongly about the need for corporate and social responsibility and for protecting children online,” CAM4’s Shaft said . “As such, we are proud to sponsor ASACP and encourage other digital media companies to support the association as well.”

ASACP said CAM4 is among the largest worldwide webcam communities, where male and female visitors can set up a free account and start broadcasting their own live shows via webcam in dozens of languages for a global appeal.

“We are delighted to welcome CAM4 to the family of ASACP sponsors,” ASACP executive director Tim Henning said. “Working with this company is important, as it not only reaches consumers around the world, but like other cam sites, attracts potentially at-risk performers — maximizing the need for, and benefits of, ASACP’s services.”

ASACP provides online businesses with a series of Best Practices targeting specific market segments; while its Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta label helps prevent a minor’s unauthorized access to adult-oriented websites and mobile apps.

The association also operates an international CP Reporting Hotline, contributing to the closure of a number of illegal sites.

“ASACP relies on the ongoing generous support of companies such as CAM4 in order to fulfill our mission of keeping kids out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning added. “This support demonstrates the proactive responsibility and self-regulation exhibited by the digital media industry today, representing society coming together for the benefit of children, wherever they may be found.”
