FreeOnes Announces 2012 Holiday Charity Drive

THE NETHERLANDS — FreeOnes.com announced today its 2012 holiday charity drive from Nov. 30 to Dec. 23 that will give donations to a list of 10 different causes.

The website has accumulated a list of the charities nominated by the 2012 Miss FreeOnes winners and FreeOnes members.

Nominated charities include the Humane Society International and Wounded Warriors (Vicky Vette, 2012 Miss FeeOnes), Polaris Project and Susan G. Komen (Siri, 2012 Best Newcomer), American Red Cross and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (Briana Lee, 2012 Best Cam Girl), Mine Kafon and CBMUK.org.uk to prevent River Blindness (Miss Hybrid, Best Euro Babe).

At the end of November, visitors to FreeOnes will be able to visit the charity drive page and vote for the charity that they think best deserves the donation. The selected charities will be announced on Dec. 24.

"Every year we contribute to several different charities," said Petra, the charity drive organizer. "However, this year we wanted to do something a little different. Instead of making all our donations as normal, we decided to set aside a small portion in order to start a charity drive. This way we can get our Miss FreeOnes winners involved by nominating charities close to their hearts, raising awareness for all the nominated charities, and make the amount donated more than what we'd have donated to that particular charity ourselves."

To kick start the event, FreeOnes is donating $1000 and  inviting companies to help it raise more through sponsorship. The chosen charity will receive more money and the donor gets the benefit of their company banner on the charity page.

Petra added, “We sincerely hope to make someone's holiday with this donation since our entire team is aware that overall donations are down to charities due to the economy."

FreeOnes noted that companies (or individuals) can take part in the charity drive by making a minimum donation of $100 or more.  In return, they will get their logo on the charity page that links directly to their site.

The winning charity will officially be announced on Dec. 24.
