Takedown Piracy Reports 10 Millionth Copyright Infringement Removal

LOS ANGELES — Ten million artist and producer copyrights are protected as a result of Takedown Piracy’s services, the company announced Monday. Equipped with one-of-a-kind custom tools and an advanced SEO program, Takedown Piracy is eliminating copyright infringements at what it called "unprecedented" speed. The 10 million infringements include an assortment of movies, photos, artwork, and text from clients ranging from film producers and athletes to gaming programmers and authors.

“Ten million removed copyright infringements is definitely a step in the right direction,” said Takedown Piracy owner Nate Glass. “Each month Takedown Piracy’s removal rate is drastically increasing. We had over 1.5 million removals in August alone.”

Glass added, “The constant bombardment of illegal torrent sites and cyberlockers with DMCA notices is resulting in the collapse of many of the worst offenders. Now with the increased support of search engines like Google, pirates are finding fewer places to hide.”

Takedown Piracy is consistently listed as one of the top reporters of copyright infringement on Google.com. The search engine’s publicly accessible transparency report shows Takedown Piracy as the No. 1 infringement reporter against highly trafficked piracy sites, such as the notorious Pirate Bay and the majority of pirate tube sites, the company said.

Takedown Piracy’s new SEO program, Search Clean™, is responsible for eliminating infringements from even the largest search engines, like Google. Combined with its custom tool, the Aikido Program™, Takedown Piracy is removing hundreds of thousands of copyright infringements.

Wanting to better involve the fans of Takedown Piracy’s numerous artist clients, the company created a tips page. Millions of additional eyes provide Takedown Piracy with an army seeking out illegal downloads on torrent, tube and cyberlocker sites. Users are asked to report the copyright owner and a link to the infringement. To report a copyright violation using Takedown Piracy’s tip page, click here.

Takedown Piracy actively tracks at least nine different ways content may be pirated, providing widespread coverage. Takedown Piracy’s army of servers offer protection in the following areas: Cyberlocker sites like Rapidshare, Torrent sites, Tube sites, Auctioned or unauthorized DVD resellers, Search Engines, Image Hosts, Blogs, Forums, Social Media.
