Maleflixxx Launches Media Center Option

TORONTO — Marking the first time a gay adult entertainment company has launched a Media Center Edition of its online product, Maleflixxx has unveiled a new browsing option that enables users to access Maleflixxx.tv accounts through their televisions.

Calling it the Maleflixxx Media Center Edition, Maleflixxx and parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution are now offering a formatted solution that uses the technology behind Microsoft’s popular Media Center PC to provide access to full-length features from leading gay adult studios.

Sureflix operates one of the largest networks of gay pay-per-view and video-on-demand websites, including Maleflixxx.tv and Canada-based gay erotic television channel Maleflixxx Television.

Maleflixxx Media Center Edition is a stand-alone Media Center PC running MS XP designed to work with a remote control, with no mouse or keyboard required, and users access the same interface for television, movies, music and browsing the Internet.

About 80 percent of the Maleflixxx movie inventory is available for the Media Center, and the whole library will be available by the end of the year. Movie categories include a wide variety of genres and fetish content.

“From the beginning, we knew that the power of Internet video-on-demand would really shine once it can be connected directly to your TV set,” Eric Johnson, president of Sureflix, said. “So we were very excited when we first got our hands on a Media Center PC.

This is really the first true convergence device where you can watch TV with pause and record functionality, play DVDs, access your music library, look at your digital photo album or listen to FM or Internet radio all in one place. We went to work on Maleflixxx Media Center Edition almost right away.”
