HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sibel Kekilli, a former German adult star turned legitimate actress, will return for season two of the critically-acclaimed HBO fantasy series “Game of Thrones.”
The 31-year-old thespian reprises her role as mysterious prostitute Shae in the show’s premiere episode “The North Remembers,” set to air Sunday.
Kekilli, who was introduced as Shae — Tyrion Lannister’s (Peter Dinklage) emerging love interest — during episode nine (“Baelor”) of the show’s Emmy-nominated first season, will also appear in the second episode “The Night Lands,” and could possibly remain a recurring if the series keeps her story arch true to that of the “Song of Ice and Fire” novels it’s based on.
Kekilli’s porn past as performer Dilara was first exposed in 2004, shortly after winning Germany’s prestigious Lola award for her performance in the relationship drama “Head On.” It came to light in the U.S. last summer after her “Game of Thrones” episodes were aired.
