MONTREAL — Popular solo model Ariel Rebel recently shared her opinions about the softcore modeling business on the French language television show "Le Sexe Autour du Monde" on TV5.
The producers of the show travel all over the world to learn about various countries' views on sexuality, their taboos and rituals, while they also set out to demystify these practices. The program has become popular throughout the French-speaking world.
The main purpose of the segment with Rebel was to examine the differences between hardcore and softcore productions in Quebec. It compared production quality, work environments and impact on the subjects' daily lives.
Rebel told the program that while some producers get by with amateur-looking hardcore productions, she strongly believes the softcore side is the path to success. The segment also includes “on the street” segments in which citizens say they prefer higher-end softcore productions and because of their quality they are more inclined to pay for it.
Pegas Productions owner Nicolas LaFleur, who produces hardcore content, is also a part of the segment, offering alternate views on the industry.
Rebel added, “It's always fun for me to be able to express my opinions and showcase my work. When I first learned that I was going to be interviewed for the show I jumped from my chair! It's a highly credited, award-winning TV shows that even my mom watches."
She continued, "The crew of Eureka TV was extremely fun to work with and properly gathered all my thoughts. It's very rare I get to express myself in French and it's heartening to have the opportunity to spread my message to the French- and English-speaking world.”
Rebel's segment can be viewed until June 30, 2012 here.
