eMerchantPay Opens U.S. Office

BOCA RATON, Fla. — eMerchantPay has opened its first U.S. office in Boca Raton, Fla., and has tapped payment industry veterans Garima Shah and Karl Persaud to lead sales efforts in the country.

The new Boca Raton office will house sales, sales support and merchant support operations to better meet the needs of independent sales organizations (ISOs), sales agents and their merchants, eMerchantPay Chairman Jonas Reynisson said.

"Having an office on U.S. soil is a significant step that will propel eMerchantPay's global efforts," Reynisson said. "Garima Shah and Karl Persaud are excellent additions to the eMerchantPay team, and we look forward to their contributions in helping eMerchantPay rapidly expand and grow in the U.S. online payments marketplace."

Shah will be responsible for eMerchantPay's sales in the U.S. and is charged with rapidly building market presence to drive new business, Reynisson said.

Shah previously held titles of vice president at Century Payments, Merchant Processing Services and Payment Alliance International.

"eMerchantPay has an impressive track record in global online payment processing and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead U.S. marketplace sales, I look forward to expanding the company's footprint throughout the U.S. market," Shah said.

As director of business development, Persaud will be responsible for developing ISO and agent reseller relationships throughout the U.S. He is a former exec at Payment Alliance International.

"I am excited about the opportunity to help ISOs and agents secure merchant accounts for online retailers who want to grow internationally or have previously been unable to qualify," Persaud said. "It's always a good situation when you can help ISOs and agents increase revenue through new income streams."

Founded in 2002, the eMerchantPay Group is privately held headquartered in Europe with offices also in the U.K. and Sofia, Bulgaria.
