LOS ANGELES — Adam & Eve Pictures began its national ad campaign for Michael Ninn’s final film “The Four” on Monday by rolling out a grand multimedia ad blitz through leading news media portal XBIZ.com.
"The Four” is Ninn’s epic story of revenge based on the legendary Spartans and their Battle of Thermopylaie in ancient Greece. As the Grecian forces invade Sparta, four surviving Spartan widows swear to avenge their husbands’ deaths and unite to assassinate the Persian God King Xerxes.
It stars former Ninn Worx contract girls Brea Bennett, Cassidey, Nikki Kane and Renee Perez. It is packaged in a four-disc set that includes a total of 14 scenes and more than eight hours of footage.
In addition to branding the backdrop of XBIZ.com's homepage, “The Four” ad campaign includes a multimedia slide-down panel featuring the official movie trailer, branded digital newsletters, a false cover ad in the upcoming issue of XBIZ Premiere magazine as well as promotions through consumer portal XFANZ.com.
Adam & Eve general manager Bob Christian said that doing the XBIZ.com campaign was a natural for a movie of this scope.
“Michael Ninn's ‘The Four’ is his biggest and greatest movie – an epic tale of sex and vengeance. It also has one of the largest production costs in adult movie history,” Christian said. “It is only fitting that Adam & Eve Pictures does what we can to make sure every lover of adult movies knows about ‘The Four’ so they will not miss out. By dominating the XBIZ.com site with promotion, we make that happen.
“This is also a statement of sorts from Adam & Eve that the market for value-rich DVDs is alive and very well.”
Dan Miller, executive managing editor of XBIZ, said that this level of campaign is fitting for Ninn’s final work.
“This is one of the most anticipated films of the past decade of adult cinema,” Miller said. “Ever since Michael Ninn first announced this project, the industry has been watching and waiting to see what this all-time filmmaking great would create. Finally, it’s here.”
Sara Sazzman, senior account manager and associate publisher for XBIZ, agreed.
“When filmmakers of the stature of Michael Ninn decide to make movies of this scale, it lifts the entire industry,” Sazzman said. “We couldn’t be more pleased that Adam & Eve has opted to fuel its national ad blitz with our new premier multimedia campaign, designed specifically for maximum impact across our key media channels. Only the biggest releases of the year warrant a rollout of this magnitude.”
