Pink Visual Announces Winner of API Developers Contest

VAN NUYS, Calif. — After reviewing all the submissions received since the contest kicked off in October, Pink Visual has designated a winner of its inaugural PV API Developers Contest.

The winner is Christopher O’Connell of Saguaro Digital.

“Chris has submitted a few apps to PV API since October, all of which were impressive, but the PinkVisual API Connector stands out as the single best app submitted during the contest,” said Liam Colins, director of business development for Pink Visual.

“The plug-in goes right to the heart of why we created PV API in the first place; to give developers and webmasters more flexibility in how they can use and display our data. By making it incredibly simple to use our API in a Wordpress context, Chris has created something of value not only for himself and Pink Visual, but for all Wordpress users who promote Pink Visual.”

As a result of his victory in the contest, O’Connell will also be receiving an additional $2,500.

“Saguaro Digital is honored and grateful to win the PV API Developers Contest," O’Connell said, adding that Saguaro Digital has agreed to release its underlying Pink Visual API client under the open source Apache license to help other developers more easily learn and implement the Pink Visual API.

"We were thrilled with the opportunities presented by PV API, and we hope in the future that many more developers will implement it,” O'Connell said.
