LOS ANGELES — As 2011 comes to a close, porn BitTorrent claims waged by adult entertainment companies keep on piling up.
In the past seven days, 337 more defendants were added to porn BitTorrent complaints in federal courts around the country.
Digital Sin filed two suits, both in Florida, against 150 and 131 John Does, for allegedly downloading and sharing movies such as "Fresh Outta High School #21."
Meanwhile, Devil's Film, through parent company Media Products Inc., filed suit against 55 in New York for allegedly trading the 2009 parody hit "This Isn’t Twilight — The XXX Parody."
And Burning Angel sued one Doe in California.
All of the suits seek to order ISPs to disclose user identities of the unnamed defendants and claim damages of $150,000 for each infringement.
