BROOMFIELD, Colo. — The Eldorado Trading Company recently participated in the 2011 Community Food Share in Colorado.
The company said it raised more than 800 pounds of food and $1928 for the Boulder and Broomfield Counties Food Share program for Thanksgiving, resulting in 8522 meals for hungry Coloradans that will carry through the holiday season.
"Helping others — this is what the holidays are all about," said Larry Garland, Eldorado founder and CEO.
"It's a privilege for the Eldorado team to be involved with Community Food Share and the important work they've been doing in Colorado for the last 30 years."
Community Food Share, the food bank for Boulder and Broomfield Counties, has been providing service to the community since 1981 and has distributed more than 5 million nutritious meals.
