BURBANK, Calif. – The ANME Founders Show kicked off this morning with a busy showroom floor spread across two areas of the Burbank Airport Marriot Hotel where exhibitors and attendees mix, mingled and made deals.
Kheper Games exhibited at ANME as it embarks on a rebranding of the company that includes relocation to a new warehouse and office, company sales manager Roxana Forenza told XBIZ.
“We are a family-owned, independent company that works together to bring the very best, unique and very detailed products,” Forenza said, noting the company’s international success that’s resulted in the inclusion of multilingual packaging.
According to Forenza, the Sex! line of games has sold more than 1 million and has been expanded to cover international markets, including the addition of Sexo!, as well as editions targeting the gay and lesbian markets.
“Retailers’ feedback tells us that games serve as a good ice breaker in an adult store,” Forenza said. “They’re able to display the games in the front of the store as a starting point for shoppers that are beginners.”
Kheper Games also debuted a new line of novelties for a girls’ night out.
“The summer is known as the bachelorette season but this line can be used all year round,” Forenza said. “We removed the bridal references to the packaging, and with the exception of a few items that are still bridal-inspired, this collection can be enjoyed by anyone, any time of the year.”
The Rocks-Off booth followed a “Star Wars” theme in honor of the company’s newest product, the Hand Solo, a vibrating masturbator featuring the RO-80 mm bullet vibe.
Dressed as Princess Leia, Rocks-Off U.S director of sales and marketing Leslie Shwartzer also presented Rocks-Off new RO 160 mm seven-speed vibe, the RO-VAL pendant vibrator that’s fully submersible in water, as well as The Love, a five-speed waterproof vibrator that comes packaged in a gift box.
DeeVa Toys’ Howard Broad attended ANME for the first time as part of the new company.
Showcasing the Fukuoku line of vibrating fingertip vibes and gloves, a buyer from Black Velvet Boutique stopped by the company’s booth to tell Broad about the popularity of Fukuoku 9000 in her store. Fukuoku has been around since 1999 from the company formerly known as Finger Fitting Products, Broad said.
Now known as DeeVa Toys, the company is expanding the brand and has launched Doctor Love’s. Next for DeeVa Toys, Broad said, is the adoption of Internet advertising to begin creating a demand among end users.
“This show’s good because retailers know that manufacturers will be displaying all of the newest products of the season,” Broad said.
The hour-long lunch break at noon provided attendees with a complimentary buffet and an opportunity to network within the table-filled massive tent. The space was shared with a StorErotica-sponsored seminar that was simultaneously held during the break.
The afternoon continues with ANME Show exhibitions until 6 p.m., followed by the ANME Carnival.
