With the new agreement, Harmony will run 24 hardcore films along with the 24 soft versions in 2011. The deal was hatched in late 2010 with Playboy TV executives Jeremy Yates and Dan Alderman.
Harmony will release six volumes of its leading title, "Young Harlots," and may even shoot a "Young Harlots" full feature in late summer which would compliment the growing popularity of the "Young Harlots" website: YoungHarlotsAcademy.com.
Harmony Films said it was delighted to have its label associated with Playboy. The previously hardcore-centric company is looking forward to the challenges of creating an entire softcore collection.
Additionally, Harmony is looking at the possibility of working with a new director in late 2011 as well as possibly exploring the realm of 3-D production.
“On a number of occasions, I have heard Harmony Films referred to as one of industry’s best kept secrets. I think the secret is now out! We enjoyed three awards at this year’s AVN, partnered with Zero Tolerance to manage our distribution in the USA and now our 2011 broadcast deal with Playboy TV firmly puts Harmony on the map," CEO Chris Norman said. "With all the doom and gloom surrounding DVD sales in general, it feels great to have a wealth of optimism going into 2011."
