New Sensations and sister studio Digital Sin accounted for four nominations in the Parody of the Year category, with “The Big Lebowski: A XXX Parody” earning the coveted award Wednesday night at the Hollywood Palladium.
New Sensations’ parodies in the past year have generated notable mainstream media, celebrity endorsements and excellent sales numbers as the company continues to play a pioneering role in the modern parody era.
“In a year in which adult studios released so many excellent parodies, we felt strongly that New Sensations’ broad slate of movies was outstanding in every way,” said Dan Miller, managing editor of XBIZ Premiere. “The company’s ‘A XXX Parody’ line has already become synonymous with the best in the genre, and ‘The Big Lebowski’ was simply sensational, making an enormous impact in the adult marketplace and beyond. As the trend continues to build momentum, we are anticipating more great parodies from the New Sensations camp.”

There were plenty of unexpected celebrity endorsements for New Sensations and Digital Sin parodies in the past year. Among them were Anna Paquin and Alan Ball (star and director of HBO’s “True Blood”), who enjoyed “Tru: A XXX Parody” so much they gifted the movie to the entire cast and crew. Paquin also appeared on "The Lopez Tonight Show" and discussed “Tru." The cast of “Reno 911” hosted a roast for “Reno 911: A XXX Parody” at a comedy club in Los Angeles. And while walking the red carpet, “X-Files” star Gillian Anderson endorsed “The Sex Files."
This year the company released “Scooby Doo: A XXX Parody” in January and recently wrapped “Star Trek: The Next Generation: A XXX Parody" with more on the way.
