CPR2 is slated for Feb. 6-7 at the Sofitel Hotel, the same venue that is hosting the XBIZ LA conference Feb. 7-9.
“We’re looking forward to another high-quality gathering, at which everyone in attendance can learn, collaborate, and emerge with an improved anti-piracy strategy,” said Allison Vivas, president of Pink Visual.
“We want to maintain the momentum built up at the first CPR event, and welcome new studios to the effort.”
Attendees must make hotel reservations at the Sofitel and should reserve their rooms prior to Jan. 16, when the XBIZ room block ends.
The event is open to 50 studios and will include a virtual component where up to 20 studios can participate via video conference. A registration fee is required for all attendees in order to cover costs, as this is a non-sponsored event.
As with the first CPR, all attendees will be screened to ensure there are no conflicts of interest and no media coverage of the event.
Vivas also noted that multimedia content protection company Degban is sponsoring the attendance of several of its clients for CPR2, part of its role as an “industry ambassador” for the event.
“We believe it’s paramount to the entire industry to raise awareness about the epidemic of piracy, and one of the best ways is to help support different studios in attending the Content Protection Retreat, or at least to make them aware of the event,” said Ella Black, senior business development director for Degban.
