Video Secrets Announces New Tipping System

CALABASAS, Calif. — Live video chat giant Video Secrets announced a free chat area where users can send tips to live performers.

The new show option — Party Chat — lets viewers send tips via credits and allows affiliates to earn commission whenever customers purchase credits.

The company said it has already seen a 19 percent increase in the number of customers using credits each day since the change — a move that translates into more money for performers and affiliates alike.

Video Secrets’ network shows formerly appealed to more affluent customers at $6 to $12 per minute, but the company feels the new tipping system will appeal to a wider array of customers and stimulate revenue potential for all parties.

“Since the launch of the new tipping system, we have been experiencing a significant increase in distinct user spending and total minutes chatting on our entire network of sites,” said Brad Estes, manager of operations for Video Secrets.

He added, “The tip system offers instant feedback for models so they can get a better sense of what their fans want to see. The result is better shows, longer shows, higher model payouts and bigger affiliate earnings as well. We are really pleased with how Party Chat is putting more money in the pockets of our models and traffic partners."

Tips can be for any amount between $2.50 and $50 each which gives fans flexibility when deciding on which price point is right for their own entertainment. The company said it also allows performers to up-sell their services in increments that allow for the best use of their time and offers users the best possible experience.

Affiliates benefit by Video Secrets' technology that automatically shuts off chats that are under-performing and also updates new shows around the clock.

The company maintains that tipping and Party Chat have been successful across its entire network including gay male talent that has benefited greatly from the changes.

“The frenzy created during a tipping show can spread like wildfire with several performers having logged earnings in excess of $1,000 in under an hour,” the company said.
