The fundraiser raises money to provide toys, books and other holiday gifts to organizations focusing on underprivileged, orphaned and disabled children. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 19.
“We recognize that this year may be more challenging for webmasters to give to charitable agencies with the poor state of the economy,” SexEntertain co-founder Michael M said. “However, we are hopeful that they will still step up and donate any amount. Even $5 can make all the difference to an underprivileged or ill child during this time of year.”
Michael M started Webmaster Toy Run in 2004 and has since been sponsored by several adult entertainment companies and more than 650 individual webmasters and adult industry professionals.
“Initially, we wanted to bring a little joy to underprivileged, orphaned and disabled children by arranging a nice holiday gift for them,” Michael M said. “We contacted several state-run and private organizations and were able to drop off toys to the children face-to-face.
"Being able to bring a smile to a child that has been needlessly suffering is a truly rewarding experience, and well worth the effort we put into this fundraising challenge. Our efforts are expanding with grants and soon scholarships.”
He added that for the past few years the company’s effort has been fully recognized with the federal and state governments. Some eligible donations may be tax-exempt.
Industry participants can make donations and suggest specific charities to sponsor nationwide.
