Ensign Games Releases DreamStripper Screen Saver

BARRINGTON, Ill. — Erotic software developer Ensign Games announced the release of a new screen saver Monday tailored after its popular DreamStripper game.

The new virtual dancer screen saver features a buxom computer-generated stripper that can either dance to music on a user’s computer or to tunes supplied with the software. Much like the game version, the new screen saver lets users interact with the dancer by controlling the “camera” angles, changing her clothes and hair color and even picking which of 22 different dances they want her to do.

David Potter, director of development at Ensign, told XBiz that a Hollywood designer who previously worked on the blockbuster “Final Fantasy” created the stripper. Ensign also spent considerable time implementing motion-capture technology using real strippers to create the Dream Stripper’s movements, he said.

“We were looking at quality, not quantity,” said Potter. “We focused on this one very detailed model with hair and shadows and everything. She smiles and blinks and jiggles and bounces, and you can zoom right in on her and see the freckles.”

Aside from realistic facial expressions, the stripper currently comes with five outfits, including a nurse, student, g-string or just plain leather. Potter said six more outfits also are being designed, and plans are in the works to develop new models as well.

Potter said he also is looking into sponsorship opportunities within DreamStripper that would enable affiliates to offer promotions in a bar next to the dancer.

“I’m thinking about making it dynamic so maybe once a month the bar can change to a different sponsor,” said Potter, who has already signed a sponsorship deal with Playboy model Bianca Beauchamp. “In the future I think we will allow people to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as to whether they want the dynamic content to get free pictures or other promotions.”
