Eldorado President Larry Garland told XBiz that the company has been selling primarily through phone and catalog for more than 30 years. While Eldorado has maintained a website since 1996, Garland said the site was never intended to be a full-service sales portal.
Eldorado.net, on the other hand, uses state-of-the-art technology that, according to Garland, “is designed to be the most efficient and effective way for customers to keep current with our products.”
The site offers password-protected, customizable accounts that allow customers to view complete order histories, track recent orders online in real-time, ship to multiple addresses and create favorite product lists.
“One of main features of the new site is a Quick Order system,” Garland told XBiz. “It lets retailers upload Excel or CVS server files from their own inventory control systems and place orders straight from Eldorado’s online catalog.”
Other features of the updated site include web-only specials on new arrivals, holiday markdowns and closeouts, product reviews and an image library.
