The new release comes eight months after the last major upgrade and with a promise from the Elevated X brass that they intend to keep their software up to date.
"For years the marketplace has been dominated by companies who make their customers wait years for new offerings," a company representative said. "Our release of two version upgrades within the last 12 months is proof positive that we're serious about contributing to the success of our clients."
For the uninitiated, content management systems, or CMS, let users build and maintain websites via an online interface, though most CMS require that users have some knowledge of HTML, PHP, MySQL or other applications. The new features of Elevated X include:
• Support for limited trial members area signups
• A default Flash player that admins can re-skin from their site's control panel. Users can now also add watermarks to videos and control the frame rate of their videos.
• Improved search-engine optimization.
• Expanded control over tours that will let admins put a cap on the number of preview videos surfers can watch.
• A calendar option that lets admins schedule content updates well in advance.
• A searchable models index.
• User-generated tagging to help organize content.
Elevated X was a nominee for Software Company of the Year in the 2009 XBIZ Awards.
