The journal entry is cross-posted to the official blog of co-director (with Leif Gobo) Steve Cruz.
"Red Light" appears on the Mustang Studios label, and is the second film in its "Color Box" trilogy behind "Blue Movie," which was released last month. The series explores different aspects of the sex trade; in "Red Light" it is male escorts and their pimps.
Cruz also penned a production diary for "Blue Movie," which briefly became an Internet sensation last year as they chronicled an amount of behind-the-scenes chaos.
The initial "Red Light" diary features interviews with costars Diesel Washington and Leo Giamani.
Washington's role was specifically created for him. "Diesel is a one-of-a-kind performer: Tireless, acrobatic, inventive and always hard and ready to go," Cruz said. "Let's face it: the man knows how to throw a fuck."
"Words are wasted on Leo Giamani," Cruz said. "They inadequately describe just how stunning he is, and photos only come close. To really appreciate him you need to meet him in person. He's down to earth, zero attitude, sweet personality."
Featured players include Bruno Bond, Jake Dakota, Vince Ferelli, Tristan Mathews, Tyler Saint and Josh West.
"Red Light" is scheduled for a February web/retail release. Wholesale-retail sales are handled by Pulse Distribution.
