NakedSword Blogs Open to Advertisers

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay video-on-demand provider NakedSword has begun accepting paid advertising on its two adult entertainment news and gossip websites.

The company began soliciting for ads on GayPornBlog.com as well as TheSword.com earlier this month.

“We have spent the better part of 2008 working to build products that attract our audience while expanding our base,” NakedSword CEO Tim Valenti said. “It’s truly rewarding that our industry is responding so well, and their requests to be associated with the great work that we have produced keep coming in.”

Founded in 2003, GayPornBlog’s film reviews and commentary on the field of gay adult entertainment have earned the site four Best Adult Blog citations from the Cybersocket Web Awards.

“TheSword launched in 2008 and has managed to grow significantly despite an increasingly competitive market,” Valenti said. “Their decidedly consumer slant on gay and adult news features and gossip make them an excellent resource for industry marketers.”

In related news, NakedSword recently hired Jack Shamama as product manager for the company’s web network, including the two gossip sites.

NakedSword recently earned a 2009 XBIZ Awards nomination as GLBT Web Company of the Year.
