Qwebec Expo Taps 2much to Shoot and Stream Adult Ceremony

MONTREAL – The upcoming Qwebec Expo, scheduled for Sept. 2-4, has tapped 2much Internet Services to shoot and provide live streaming of its Best Adult Awards Ceremony, slated for Sept. 3 at Montreal’s Caf' Conc' Dinner Theatre and Cabaret of the Marriott Chateau Champlain.

Now in its second year, an estimated 300 people are expected to attend the Best Adult Awards, which caps off the two-day expo and honors popular adult content sites such as Best Amateur Site, Best Gay Site, Best Anal Site, Male and Female Personalities of the Year, and many more.

The deal with 2much marks the first time the Best Adult Awards Ceremony will be presented live over the Internet from LiveCamNetwork.com. The event’s official sites, Qwebec.com and BestAdultAwards.com, also will provide links to the streaming broadcast.

“It’s an idea that’s been drumming around in my head for a year and a half – doing something with someone whether they have a big or a small show,” Greg Jones, media and communications director for 2much, told XBiz. “Some shows want to keep their live shows on the spot – but in this case, Michele Plante [Qwebec Expo creator] was open to trying this as an experiment.”

2much founder Mark Prince said the deal represented an opportunity for 2much to show that his company’s software technology is not just for live video sex chat, which has been 2much’s signature market so far.

Near completion on its migration to version 2, 2much has been expanding into using its live streaming technology for new applications in consultancy, education, even live psychic readings, a new feature that is scheduled to launch in the next few weeks. The company also plans to branch out in multiniche adult sites.

The migration to version 2 will be completed by the end of October, Jones said.

The Best Adult Awards presentation includes YNotBob as emcee and presenters KennyB with IACash, WebmasterParadise's Robert and industry attorney J.D. Obenberger, who also will make an appearance at the expo’s legal seminar.

The Best Adult Awards begins at 8 p.m. (EST).
