2257: A Proactive Solution

With the release of GenX Law's customized 2257 Register software, webmasters, producers, and content providers have a specialized tool for coping with the record keeping demands of the evolving 18 USC 2257 statute.

Editor's note: I recently visited GenX Law's web site, where they claim that "With the 2257 Register software you have the power to manage all of your performer records in a centralized database with digital copies of documentation files and identification photos," and thought to myself "Hello, now wouldn't this be handy!" I'm not going to rehash the whole "2257" issue here: let's just say that if you have a web site and / or shoot content, then you need to be concerned about this law – but you needn't be burdened by it. There's a new tool on the block that can help you get your records in order, and save you time while doing it. Let's take a closer look: ~ Stephen

GenX Law, a partnership of a legal professional and an adult business owner, now hold the exclusive rights to mxdevelopment’s 2257 Register software. According to GenX's CEO, "We customized 2257 Register so that it exactly models the regulations, leaving no holes with which the government can litigate against an adult entertainment company."

"We have also provided an online table for companies to access. In this table we mirror the regulation to 2257 Register, thus demonstrating how the software keeps you in perfect compliance, said the CEO."

GenX Law President Nikita Rusini added that "Our software has features for everyone; webmasters, content providers, and adult multimedia corporations. For example, 2257 Register establishes a working relationship between webmasters and content providers." This feature allows content providers to send webmasters all necessary records upon purchase of sets, thus increasing the speed of record entry and making their life much easier. All the content providers must do is provide their clients with a URL which the webmaster can plug into their software and instantly update their database.

"Furthermore, one of the most annoying specifications of the new regulation is not only must you have each performer organized alphabetically, and cross-referenced by each name or alias, but you must also have copies of the depictions and where the depiction is located. This is too must be available on demand!" said Rusini.

2257 Register’s "add new records" features allows you to upload a computer generated image, digital image, or still image of a web cam session so that copy of the depiction (thumbnail of the performer) is available within the database. The "add records" feature also allows you to record the URL associated with the depiction.

The goal of GenX Law in creating 2257 Register is to protect the adult entertainment world from the government's "declared intent to crack down on smut." It is for this reason 2257 Register is available for an extremely reasonable rate, for both single and sponsor copies, and you can even have the software installed on your own server for a minimal extra fee.

"I use 2257 Register with my own company which made me recognize that if more adult entertainment companies had this software it would be much harder for the government’s war on porn to succeed – and that is our ultimate goal," said Rusini.

GenX Law has made certain that with 2257 Register, every compliance document is at your fingertips, and in turn, available for the Department of Justice on demand. So when the federal government comes knocking at your door, rather than finding record-keeping holes, thus justifying your jail time, all they will find is perfectly kept documents.
