Halloween, Oktoberfest & More Cam-tober Ideas

Halloween, Oktoberfest & More Cam-tober Ideas

Coming up with new ideas for cam shows can feel like a struggle at times. Fortunately, you can break out of your routine, experiment and diversify your shows without bashing your head against the wall. Just look at the calendar. Yes, I’m talking about creating content and marketing your shows using popular holidays and seasonal events as your themes.

Plan ahead by mapping out all the major holidays and seasonal trends. This way, every month you will have at least a couple of days of special themed shows. Fans love to see something outside the norm, and that can result in more earnings for you.

OCT. 1-3: OKTOBERFEST

You’re probably familiar with this one. Oktoberfest is a fall festival held in Germany from Sept. 17 until Oct. 3, where people gather together to party and drink beer. Even though it originated in Germany, it is now pretty much celebrated across the whole world, because who doesn’t like a good excuse to drink and celebrate?

Celebrating Oktoberfest with your audience could be one for the books. Even if you don’t drink, you can dress up in your sexiest tavern garb and take a shot of apple juice "ale" every time someone tips.

OCT. 5: WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY

This holiday honors and commemorates teachers around the globe… making it the perfect excuse for a role-playing day. You can offer the classic naughty college teacher/student dynamic, which is one of the staples of role-play.

You could be the student who needs to learn a couple of lessons of a sexual nature, or the teacher who needs some extra "convincing" from an obedient pupil for that extra credit needed to pass. Styling your hair as a teacher or student might, wearing a uniform or whatever outfit plays things up theatrically and writing on a blackboard will help you and your fans stay in character.

OCT. 10: WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

This may sound like an unusual choice, but talking about mental health is becoming more accepted and important, as little by little we’re breaking the taboo around it. So tap into Oct. 10, which is a day to raise awareness about mental health problems, by chatting openly about your own struggles if you feel comfortable doing so, or by seeing if any of your fans want to share their feelings and experiences. Creating a space for non-judgmental listening can strengthen your community. You don’t have to pry or push people to share; you can start off by asking simple questions like “How are you feeling today?” or “How have you been spending your time?”

Another great option for therapeutic release would be offering a jerk-off instruction show. Everyone knows that masturbating is good for de-stressing, so it would be the perfect activity to help boost everyone’s mental health. You can host a special JOI cam show where you focus on your audience, their needs and pleasuring them.

OCT. 10: CANADIAN THANKSGIVING

Canadian Thanksgiving is the same day as World Mental Health Day, so you can choose which one you want to feature in your show. Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving similarly to Americans: with the family and a roasted turkey. For fans who are far away from their families or might not even have one, you can organize a special Thanksgiving session in your room, eating together, telling stories and just spending some quality time. You can also decorate your room with Canadian flags and maple leaves.

OCT. 31: HALLOWEEN

Of course, Halloween is the ultimate October holiday, and celebrating it with fans can bring you a lot of traffic. All you need is a boo-tiful costume, spooky Halloween decorations in your room and a bit of passion. You can also take this opportunity to cater to cosplay or horror fans.

The best part about Halloween is that as long as you have the visuals and atmosphere nailed, you can do pretty much any kind of activity or show. Whatever you do, it will look fun, different and hot. You can even create some clips in the weeks leading up to Halloween to sell them as seasonal content the entire month, releasing them drip feed-style.

No matter which October holidays you choose to celebrate, seasonal-themed streaming is sure to create fond memories and generate a bit of extra revenue. Who doesn’t love holiday spending cash?
