My name is Bunny Marthy, and I’m an award-winning adult performer, cam girl and content creator. I started camming eight years ago at the start of 2014. Since entering the adult industry, I have gained over 350K followers on Chaturbate, 48K followers on Instagram, 45K followers on Twitter and 108k subscribers on YouTube, while starting my own amateur adult production company YeaBunny and being crowned the 2020 XBIZ Europas Female Cam Model of the Year.
Getting to where I am today has taken a lot of work, dedication, consistency and constantly pushing my brand. No one tells you when you start out camming that you also have to be an expert in marketing and branding. To get users in your room, you need to have several channels and platforms, both SFW and NSFW, to help market yourself and your brand.
When I schedule shoots, I make sure to take both fully clothed and lingerie pics, so I have [SFW] content that still looks the consistent, but can be posted across several different platform.
Working in the adult industry for the past eight years, I have picked up some tips and tricks on how to diversify my content to help keep my brand consistency across all platforms.
My brand as Bunny Marthy can be described as “professional wannabe.” I have a young, hot gamer girl look which I sell through my social media, streams, ASMR videos and amateur porn site Yeabunny.com. I have a youthful aesthetic overall and I’m always super happy, smiling and crazy on my streams. I love talking, laughing and playing games with my fans, and creating a bond with them. That bonding is very important to me and is achieved not only on cam, but through interacting with them frequently.
Since I manage so many different platforms, it’s important to remember that each is unique, so I post different content on each one. On Instagram, I post fun photo sets, on Discord I chat with fans and play games with them and on Twitter I post a lot of updates and things happening daily; however, across all platforms, I make sure I’m selling the “Bunny Marthy” experience of a cute, sexy playful girl. I’ve found that this consistency of presentation, across all platforms, is essential to engaging with the kind of audience I like to attract.
One thing that is key to brand awareness and consistency is naming all my channels the same way: Bunny Marthy. There are a lot of restrictions to posting links to adult content on social media sites, so having my name and handle the same across all platforms is very important. Even if I can’t directly talk or post about my adult work, it’s super easy to search my name and find it online. Creating a few backup accounts with different variations of your name on Instagram and other social media platforms also helps in the event that your main account gets taken down.
Ultimately, social media is very important for my business. Around 35% of visitors to my website come from social media and my fans find out about my Chaturbate shows through it as well. It’s no secret that social platforms aren’t exactly sex worker-friendly, so it’s extremely important that you read the terms and conditions of each platform before you start posting.
And for Instagram, I would avoid photos in underwear or without it. I was shadowbanned from Instagram for a picture in my underwear, even though it didn’t show any nudity. So I focus on posting sexy pictures of myself in outfits I wear on cam, cute animal ears pics, gaming-related photos and other content that showcases my brand; however, I make sure the images are never overtly sexual or over-the-top.
I also add hashtags to all my posts to get more views, though I always check whether the hashtags have been blocked before posting. Hashtags like #Chaturbate, #Pornhub and #boobs are blocked and, if you use them, can jeopardize your profile. Search the hashtag you plan on using on Instagram beforehand and if nothing comes up, it’s blocked.
To push traffic to my cam shows or other adult platforms via Instagram, I’ll mention I’m going online in my story with an alternate name, like "CB" or "Chatbae," but never post a link. I frequently do Q&As in my stories and I use that as an opportunity to tell my followers about my sex work and cam shows. I also do not send any links in private messages. Instagram regulates your DMs just as much as your profile, so you need to follow the same rules when private messaging. If you also want your identity to be anonymous, make sure to not create your Instagram account with your phone number or your friends will see it.
Concerning Twitter, you can simply show and say whatever you want, practically. I really like this platform due to acceptance of my content. I always post when my stream starts, often by adding a video or photo and text encouraging others to join me. Just posting the CB link and “Live now!” doesn’t get the same results as when you post a sexy pic or video of what you are wearing or doing for the show. It’s also good to post more than just broadcast notifications. People don’t want to be constantly sold to; they want to enjoy genuine content from you as well. I try to post a video every day to give my fans a look into my life, keep up engagement and continuously showcase the Bunny Marthy brand.
YouTube is a bit of a diversification for me. I post ASMR videos on there, which, despite the fact that they are often sexual, are not directly related to my streams or productions. Even if I’m not monetizing directly from the videos, it’s still a great way to get my name and brand out there. I’ll wear some of the same outfits I wear on cam and do kissing, licking and meowing videos to give viewers a taste of what Bunny Marthy is about. I have garnered over 17M views and 108K subscribers on my channel and get a lot of traffic to my Fanbea (my own OnlyFans type platform I’m creating with my fiancé) from YouTube.
Overall, it’s important to be yourself across every platform, no matter the limitations or rules. Don’t post something that isn’t your look or feel, just because it has to be SFW. Make sure your profiles always show your personality and character. When I schedule shoots, I make sure to take both fully clothed and lingerie pics, so I have [SFW] content that can be posted across several different platforms.
