Committed to caring for the content creators that she helps empower, Ruxandra, VXPages’ Head of Business Development, continues to develop her contacts and expertise in the industry.

From her previous work in live cam events to her current position, she has endeavored to help others grow and succeed within the industry and has cultivated a reputation for excellence and engagement as she satisfies the needs of artists.

Technology should be accessible for everyone — how you use it and what you create with it is up to you.

She also aims to develop the newest generation of tools for content publication and online marketing — the building blocks of an independent creator’s career.

Educating erotic entrepreneurs and advising them on how to take that next small step (or a giant leap forward) to help their business grow, Ruxandra still finds time to enjoy her home life and hobbies as she balances work and play.

XBIZ reached out to Ruxandra to learn more about her past, her path and her future within the industry that she works to better, as Woman of the Month for January 2021.

XBIZ: Discuss your professional background and what led you to enter the adult industry.

Ruxandra: I graduated from university with a degree in business administration and worked for a group of restaurants. I was a manager for several locations and organized parties and social events before I jumped into this industry. From there the opportunity presented itself to join Bucharest Summit (a live cam event in Bucharest) back in February 2017.

Initially, I started as a team member and later as the event manager, not knowing much about the industry, but with a big curiosity and desire to discover it. After that, I made a change in my life and moved to Amsterdam (where I’m currently living) so I had to let go of the Summit.

At the same time, I received an offer from Florian (the product owner at VXPages), which became a good relationship. It was a brand-new project with huge international ambitions. The idea of growing it challenged me and gave me the opportunity of growing alongside it.

XBIZ: What attracted you to the VXPages team and how has your role with the company evolved?

Ruxandra: From the beginning, I loved everything about the platform. It’s an opportunity to help everyone to present their brand and business in a very effective way. I knew it was going to be challenging to start a new project, but the fact that I can help models and content creators in growing their business excited me.

I want to see this industry growing into a healthier and more conscious environment and I want to be part of it.

XBIZ: As a business development exec, what milestones in your company’s growth are you most proud of?

Ruxandra: I’m proud that we were able to bring VXPages to the U.S. market. In Germany, the mother company (Visit X) already has a proven history and the company is well known; so, the goal was to grow internationally, in which we succeeded.

This past year, our industry changed a lot, and content creators are more business orientated than ever and willing to invest more time and quality in their content. So, it’s our duty to grow together with them and it makes me proud to say we were able to do so. We managed to keep it easy to create your own unique environment. As I always say, if you want to grow your business, change the way you present it.

XBIZ: Given VXPages’ mission of staying closely in touch with the needs of performers, how do you cultivate a sense of collaboration with your model base?

Ruxandra: We were and, in some ways, still are a new type of platform. So, we constantly have to explain and teach people about our mission and how they can use a website to its full capacity. Imagine that you are completely in control of the looks, the message you want to convey, what you sell and how you sell it. It’s super cool when you think about it, but at the same time it is a bit overwhelming.

Therefore, we immediately started our own YouTube channel to post tutorial videos on best practices. I am super happy to have on our team Nikki Night, an amazing coach with many years in the industry who brings a big plus to our mission.

We also created an entire coaching environment within our product that is our center of education about our technology and how you can use it the best. It’s also the place where we put our product into practice. For example, you can directly book a one-on-one live training session with our coach, Nikki Night. Imagine doing this with your followers and visitors too!

Furthermore, we organize lots of online seminars and workshops and we have created a Telegram group, where all of our models can discuss and share experiences, requests or feedback. I found it very important to have a good support system that can come from us (the company side) but can also come from another user that shared your same experience.

XBIZ: Discuss VXPages’ unique approach to making cutting-edge web technology accessible to non-technical users.

Ruxandra: Imagine sending scheduled mass messages to all of the members that signed up, but targeting it specifically to the type of user, depending on how new or old they are. This is just a very small example of how you can use our technology to have a customized approach for all of your members, and it’s all automatically done from within your dashboard. It’s super-fast and effective; if you are willing to put a bit of effort into your business, the possibilities are limitless.

Think about SEO optimization if you are in a specific niche, for example, marketing campaigns, how to price/discount your content, paid messaging, memberships and so much more.

The feeling of owning a website that just simply breathes your entire style, brand and personality is amazing and a must for every serious content creator.

Technology should be accessible for everyone — how you use it and what you create with it is up to you. With our platform, you can instantly create a website that can become your business for life, but you have to put in some effort too, into learning and managing it, the same as any business out there. Every moment we develop new strategies for coaching our models based on best practices, so we organize frequent webinars with a focus group and bring information to users from professionals that explain, for example, how to create a page that represents you, or SEO optimizations, marketing campaigns, how to price your content, how to keep your members active and so on.

XBIZ: How do you stay on top of the newest developments in tech and how do you educate content creators about the latest platform tools and features?

Ruxandra: The company behind VXPages has been active in our industry for many years, so we have lots of experience and succeed by always staying ahead of the game. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be around for as long. We are constantly collecting feedback and try to create the perfect combination of easy to use and optimized features that are requested by our users. All the updates are announced through the model admin page and our developers are constantly working on it.

XBIZ: What does VXPages provide in terms of monetization options and features?

Ruxandra: VXPages was created to offer all of the possible opportunities for monetizing your content, but also to be customized to your needs. They can either all be used at the same time, or just those parts that fit you — or try it all and find out what’s best for you, and then set the prices and decide the strategy, always with the guidance of our coaches and support team.

VXPages enables content creators to live cam right from their site, with pay-per-minute shows and to sell photos and videos. Multiple, tiered and custom subscription options, along with email newsletters and marketing campaigns, a bonus/discount promo code generator paid on-site messaging and a personal blog are among the options for the platform’s users.

Add in detailed statistical insights, powerful SEO tools for better search result ranking, the ability to use your own domain name and beautiful, easy to use templates with an advanced mode for full customization, to round out VXPages’ offerings.

XBIZ: How do you balance your professional and personal life? Tell us a unique hobby or passion of yours that people may not know about.

Ruxandra: I guess I’m a lucky one in this regard, as my boyfriend is also part of the industry, so he understands what I’m doing. We are constantly supporting each other and giving advice where we can.

As a hobby, I love designing and flipping houses: I’m 100 percent involved in any project that my family or friends have and I try not to decorate or change my house too often.

XBIZ: What are your ambitions for this year?

Ruxandra: Firstly, I’m really happy that 2020 is over; and even though it made me a bit scared to plan ahead, I’m very positive that after rain comes the sun. So, I am just looking forward again to getting out there!

My goal for 2021 is to get in contact with as many business-oriented models as possible because I love meeting smart people and simply creating a solid base for the future together. We have plans on growing and developing the product even more. New tools will be available and we will be at XBIZ Miami to present them all!
