5 Key Strategies for Mobile Streaming

We see the trend of models streaming from their mobile devices growing more and more on cam sites. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram have already let their users go live from their mobile for some years now, so there is no reason why a cam site should not give models the same opportunity.

To succeed as a cam model in 2019 you need to be unique, be yourself and be different. If you are just another girl or boy in a chat room, what makes you different from the rest of the models on the site?

It’s a very good idea to invest in a power bank or external battery for your mobile device.

Mobile streaming enables you to be unique and different in a new way. When everyone else is sitting in the bedroom, your show can be on the road, in a car, at the mall or at a restaurant. So, what does it take to get started with mobile streaming in 2019? I would like to share with you five steps that will get you started very fast.

Invest in a High Quality Phone

The first thing you need for streaming on the go is a good phone. The camera is the most important thing and especially the front camera, so you can see yourself and the chat at the same time.

Some cam sites offer an app for streaming and some apps are only available in the Google Play store for Android, so if you are streaming on those sites, you need an Android phone.

On Stripchat, it doesn’t matter if you have an Android or an iPhone, since you don’t need to download anything. You just stream from your phone’s browser via the site's model platform. We do recommend you have a newer version of the Android or iPhone for best camera quality.

Secure a Powerful Cellular Connection

In most cases, when you want to start streaming from your phone, you are likely away from a good Wi-Fi connection. For this reason, make sure you have a strong cellular connection. The worse the connection, the more blurry and lagging your streaming will be, and nobody wants to watch that.

Streaming from your phone also requires a good amount of data, depending on how long you want to stream. So it’s very advisable to have a subscription with a big data package so you don’t run out of data and pay extra.

Carry an External Battery or Power Bank With You

It’s a very good idea to invest in a power bank or external battery for your mobile device. Streaming from your phone uses a lot of battery over time and you don’t want to run out of power during your show when the tokens are rolling in. So bring your power bank and charging cable with you on the trip, to ensure you never run out of battery.

Purchase a Mobile Ring Light

When you’re on the road and it’s not midday, getting good light for your mobile camera can be a challenge. We advise you to invest in a small clip-on ring light for your phone. This is an easily transported, inexpensive device that you clip in front of your phone and it really brings out the color of your eyes and gives you a nice skin tone, just like a ring light does in your cam room.

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

It’s very safe to stream from the comfort of your own apartment or from your room in a studio. Once you go outside and stream from your car or the shopping mall, it becomes a bit embarrassing since there are a lot of people that will wonder what you are doing and you may feel strange talking to your phone in public.

In this situation, it’s important to believe in yourself and step out of your comfort zone. Set up some new rules for yourself — for example, letting tippers know you can’t get nude in certain areas, but that you will do it as soon as possible.

Plan ahead where you will go and where you will stream from. Remember that things can happen outside that you can’t control. So, always have a backup plan and try to do some research of good places to stream from that will create engaging stories to experience live.

In the end, it’s all about entertainment and you are already a star!
