Q&A: Marissa Davis Rocks Biz Dev, Amidst ImLive Premium Venture

Q&A: Marissa Davis Rocks Biz Dev, Amidst ImLive Premium Venture

Marissa Davis is as exquisitely charming, eminently professional and hyper-adaptive to marketplace trends as the camming network she champions, ImLive.

From her early days of affiliate management with the popular platform, to media buying and now business development, she knows the value of recruiting high-quality cam models and securing profitable partnerships. And as ImLive prepares to unleash a premium camming venture aimed at enticing elite models, especially established porn stars looking for a juicy reason to jump into the live stream space, she is already staking a claim in the specialized frontier.

We are in the process of creating a platform for the big names in the industry, to bring porn stars into the cam world in a way that makes it beneficial for them to spend time on cam.

To catch a glimpse of the brave new world ImLive is looking to dominate, XBIZ sat down with Davis to chart her career and future plans in this executive seat interview.

XBIZ: What inspired you to join the adult industry and how has your role at ImLive evolved over the years?

Davis: I started working in the adult industry through a referral and I started at ImLive doing affiliate management, before moving on to media buying after.

Throughout the years, my role has developed to general business development. I have made a lot of connections and focused a lot on networking, so wherever I can make a connection to better the company, I do.

Lately, I have been working on a new project with ImLive, which involves experimenting with a new business model and recruiting models specifically for that.

XBIZ: Why should models, be they veterans or newcomers, consider joining ImLive?

Davis: ImLive is such an incredible webcam company. The strength of this company goes unnoticed. The age and experience of ImLive has created an environment for models where they have the support to get the highest earnings possible doing camming.

We have very high payouts (up to 100 percent commission in certain scenarios). Experienced models — once they learn the platform — will be super impressed with the features we have.

We also offer a lot of support for new models in order to get noticed by our members and get a boost creating their community of fans. Our immediate payout option is also popular. The models can cash out any day any time, rather than having to wait for a “payout day.”

XBIZ: Any new features that ImLive has recently rolled out, to improve the site?

DAVIS: ImLive is constantly improving and rolling out new features. One of the most beneficial in my opinion is that you can cam from your phone. With the current situation with social media and the power it has, all models are super active on their phone.

I think offering them another platform to stream and get paid from, on their phone, is highly beneficial. Our “Candy Shows” are also a way for models that are used to a freemium experience to dabble with the premium cam option.

ImLive offers the one-on-one option, while still having the option to have an open chatroom with tipping etc. through a Candy Show.

XBIZ: Talk about your special celebrity shows and how ImLive attracts established stars to perform.

Davis: We offer celeb shows for high-caliber cam stars and porn stars, offering them a very competitive flat rate for an hour show. It’s highly beneficial, because we advertise it for months to all of our members, plus it’s great PR for the model and introduces them to our platform, while attracting some of our “whale” users for future private shows. Our most recent celeb shows were from Karma X, August Taylor and Sophie Dee.

XBIZ: Speaking of stardom, tell us about your upcoming exclusive cam venture for high-engagement players.

Davis: We are in the process of creating a platform for the big names in the industry, to bring porn stars into the cam world in a way that makes it beneficial for them to spend time on cam. We have some very tempting offers and features that have yet to be introduced in the industry.

XBIZ: What are the perks for this new product, as far as payout rates, revshare, social media integration, etc.

Davis: Everything is still somewhat confidential, but I will say that the payouts and rev share are extremely competitive. We respect the value of the models that have hustled to create their own fame and online presence, and our respect for them is reflected in what we are offering.

XBIZ: Describe the ways this premium service will leverage ImLive’s natural traffic levels and industry influence.

Davis: The benefit of this product is for the models. The goal is not to improve traffic on ImLive, as much as to create a top-of-the-line camming platform for the elite performers.

XBIZ: How do you interface with other ImLive team members, to achieve shared goals?

Davis: We are constantly in contact and helping each other out. Everyone at ImLive really cares about the company. Working with a dedicated crew creates an easy environment to share, offer support to one another and grow in our roles for the best interest of ImLive.

XBIZ: What is your overarching ambition for the ImLive brand, in this increasingly competitive interactive market?

Davis: I think the number-one thing personally that I want for this brand, and for everyone to understand about ImLive, is the amount of support and respect it has for the models. The platform is so powerful and has a team 24/7 giving support and guidance to the models, so they can make the highest possible earnings they are capable of. We have so much respect and understanding for hard-working cam models, and do not take any of our models for granted. The ImLive family is real – and this is the main thing that I personally want newcomers to understand about the brand!
