Take Camming on the Road

Take Camming on the Road

With all kinds of mainstream social media apps like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat letting you stream live to your followers, it’s not very surprising that cam sites are offering models the option to stream on the platform directly from their mobile phones as well. There are a couple of different options on the market, where you may need to download an app to stream from either Google Play or the Apple App Store. But recently, Stripchat also released the option to stream directly from mobile browsers on both Android and iPhone.

Being able to stream from your mobile brings some freedom and great opportunities to cam models. You can get out of your regular four walls and take your members with you outside of your regular cam room. With a little bit of creativity, you can bring your members to the mall and go into your favorite clothing shop, trying out different outfits while asking them what combo they like the best. When they find their favorite one, you can ask them for tokens so you can buy it to use in your next show.

With a little bit of creativity, you can bring your members to the mall and go into your favorite clothing shop, trying out different outfits while asking them what combo they like the best.

What about bringing your members on a romantic date and streaming from the corner of your favorite restaurant or — even better — taking your members to your holiday destination and streaming from the white beaches in Bali or the top of the Eiffel Tower? The options are endless.

Stand Out and Be Different

The front page of a cam site is made up of several thumbnails showing all the different cam shows online at any given point. On the freemium sites, it’s mostly made up of direct pictures taken from the cam room in real time, from the last minute or so. Standing out among those thumbnails is very important for attracting new members to your cam show. Streaming from your mobile will definitely do just that.

There are examples of cam models streaming on the ferry over to the mainland. We have seen models streaming in the doctor’s office, combining it with interactive toys, and we have also seen a couple streaming at night from the beach in Miami on the edge of maybe being caught.

So, being different in your show will catch people’s attention and bring new members to see what’s going on. That feeling of being a voyeur has always been a trend, and now you have all the possibilities to tap into that — without setting up extra lighting equipment or having to redecorate your room. You have all the power in the palm of your hand.

There Are Still Strict Rules

Even though sharing your lifestyle with your members from your phone gives a lot of freedom and also the possibility to escape your regular camming room routine, there are still strict rules you need to take into consideration.

On the majority of platforms, you cannot interact with or show the faces of other people that are not registered as a model on the platform with their full name and approved ID for your room. If you are the only one registered to stream in your room, you should not interact with friends, family or strangers, even if they give you consent for this.

So, how does this apply if you want to stream in public? I can only speak to the Stripchat platform, but from our point of view, streaming in public, passing people, a quick turn-around and similar actions are okay. But other people’s faces that are not registered at the site with their ID and connected to the same room should not be shown or interacted with, regardless of consent.

Keep your show to yourself and try your best to avoid capturing other people’s faces. Be mysterious and be adventurous, but remember: it’s still a cam show and it’s about you and your members interacting, not your members and the rest of the world.

The Future is Mobile

New mobile phones come to the market every year, at the rate of twice a year from certain brands. The phones become smarter and faster and the cameras become better with higher quality. Soon, we will be able to stream in 4K with the phones and not long after, we might see phones that let us stream in VR.

There is no doubt that both consuming and broadcasting from phones is the future. But to move in this direction, someone needs to start the trend early, and that can be you today!

Account-to-Account Payments: The New Banking Disruptor?

So much of our industry relies upon Visa and Mastercard to support consumer payments — and with that reliance comes increased scrutiny by both brands. From a compliance perspective, the bar keeps getting raised until it feels like we end up spending half our time making sure we are compliant rather than growing our business.
