Execs of 2018: Online Business Leaders Share Top Strategies for Earning Brand Trust

XBIZ World is pleased to present “Execs of 2018: The Year in Review.”

A successful enterprise is often known for its leaders who become known as the face of the company. Brand ambassadors are a rare breed of individuals that is gregarious and champion their brand at every turn.

Each of the executives we spoke to below has one thing in common — they are among the finalist nominees for Brand Ambassador of the Year in the digital edition of the 2019 XBIZ Exec Awards.

What strategies did you use to earn brand awareness and trust this year?

Jimmy (Wizzo) Foreman
JuicyAds

”I along with the rest of the JuicyAds team, earn brand awareness and trust by providing very personalized service to our clients and potential clients. We find by really taking the time to understand our client’s needs that we can help them reach their goals and even give them specialized tools and/or advice based on their personal situation.”

DariusZ
Clips4Sale

“Our goal was met and exceeded this year with brand awareness by partnering with exceptional, like-minded companies such as NexoCams and PineappleSupport, to broaden our brand’s reach and deepen our bond within the fetish and adult business community. By collaborating throughout the past year with both our studio owners and customers to cultivate new ideas to build a better platform, we know that our shared goals for the future of Clips4Sale will see us through another 15 years as the leader in downloadable clip technology. In addition, our brand has been strengthened by our continued commitment to providing the most consistent and secure platform for downloadable content, allowing our content creators the freedom to focus on their business without any concern about the platform they entrust with their livelihood. Our customers’ and studio owners’ trust are something that we know is invaluable, and we will never take it for granted. We are always striving to offer both a safe, secure and reliable service throughout their experience with our company.”

Andy Wullmer
Traffic Partner

“I have 10 strategies for being a good brand ambassador. These include showing your brand worldwide, through events and social media and by doing cool advertising. I do 30 events every year in 25 countries and am always on stage, doing seminars, panels, podcast, interviews, parties; always on the microphone and showing up with sexy girls, which always brings you media attention. Have fun with business friends — remember the six degrees of separation — the more people you know the more you reach and when you have fun, they support you. Create your own products — the more unique your product the more you separate it from the masses and create a good team. You need to be a good leader of a good team, or you will not be successful; and win business awards, because every industry award you win raises your popularity. Finally, be your own brand — nothing is as powerful as your own personality.”

Karen Campbell
Orbital Pay

“Increasing brand awareness has much to do with marketing strategies and exposure but more importantly it has to do with credibility and longevity within the industry for those of us who represent the organizations. Honesty and willingness to educate even those you may not be able to work with is how I gain trust.”

Ramona Flour
Chaturbate

“For me, the really fun thing about Chaturbate brand awareness is that we can create instant gratification. For example, we have the opportunity to listen in almost real-time to Broadcasters and fans. Since Twitter is the water cooler of the Internet, we often use feedback ideas posted there to help with site improvements. Maybe I’m a little biased but when I look around out there it seems competitors have yet to overhaul dated features, when I know the developers at Chaturbate are cranking out some seriously well-loved new features.”

“The biggest challenge we face working in adult webcams, is trying to engage our audience on social platforms that have made it very inhospitable for people in our industry. Even a platform with 2.7 billion active users like Facebook, has virtually zero-tolerance for any sort of adult company. Despite this, 2018 has shown larger companies taking a more contemporary approach … they take to Instagram to seek out influencers to review or promote their products. Chaturbate incorporated that system into our strategy with some further changes. We know our models want to represent the platform they work on, believe in and are comfortable in their fans joining. This is why Chaturbate wants to highlight broadcasters and not just the site. Chaturbate Broadcasters are the real reason fans choose to come to the site, not just the company name.”

“I will always stand by Chaturbate being the most inclusive adult webcam platform. Whether we are at an event or online, Chaturbate has cultivated a really beautiful, extremely supportive community. It creates a safe space, even though it requires little effort. I think it’s one of the most recognizable differences between us and competitors. It is also the most rewarding, because Broadcasters and fans see Chaturbate’s positive energy and support among the community. They gravitate towards us very organically.”

Norman Hauwert
Reflected Networks

“I always consider myself as the brand for the company/product. First, sell yourself/your pitch then your brand, make sure it works, and make sure you have a great team behind you to deliver and maintain your product/service. For earning trust, it is pretty simple, because it cannot be bought or faked — do whatever it takes to make it happen for your customers.”

Courtney Rudolph
Adult Friend Finder

“We are one of the oldest and largest adult dating companies — a position we’ve maintained by providing a superior product to our customers and affiliates. This year we gave our sites a much-needed facelift, redesigning our covers not just for the main brands, but for internal and affiliates cobrands as well. We’ve also been working nonstop to improve site functionality and dependability. We have one of the most recognizable brands in the adult dating and cams industry, so it’s imperative that we provide our affiliates with the best support possible. That’s where I come in! My goal is to make sure our affiliates are happy, well-taken care of — and most importantly — making great money.”

Gabor Gaspar
Jasmin

“My strategy was, to be honest with everyone. Work for the best brand, make the most money in the industry and webcam on a different level. Don’t just get by with what you do, make it big! This is life in red! This is Jasmin!”

Holly Ruprecht
Hustler

“Attend as many events as you can, introduce yourself and your company. Talk but also listen. Never ever partake in gossip about your company or any competitors. Be friendly and approachable. Always have the company you represent best interest at heart. Brand awareness is one thing trust is another. Trust takes time to build. Build it by finding the right partners. This industry is built on the relationships you have so try and nurture all of them!”

Account-to-Account Payments: The New Banking Disruptor?

So much of our industry relies upon Visa and Mastercard to support consumer payments — and with that reliance comes increased scrutiny by both brands. From a compliance perspective, the bar keeps getting raised until it feels like we end up spending half our time making sure we are compliant rather than growing our business.
