Voice-Call Vending: Mobile Marketers Hear the Ring of Success

You’ve seen the ads in the backs of magazines and breathlessly played out on late-night television — call the listed phone number to talk with a hot live performer now.

“The more things change, the more they remain the same,” or so the old saying goes; but when it comes to marketing phone sex, today’s tools beat yesterday’s, hands-down: In addition to traditional print and television advertising of paid chat lines promoting girls and guys you have no stake in, new programs that allow direct fan calls to performers are springing up — while more established brands are reinvesting in their online presence.

In addition to traditional print and television advertising of paid chat lines promoting girls and guys you have no stake in, new programs that allow direct fan calls to performers are springing up.

This benefits independent performers and others taking the reigns over their business.

According to the company, the VerifiedCall.com platform allows performers to speak to fans via a secure telephone connection; providing them with processing and payments. The company gives each performer with a unique URL and profile page. Performers can also connect with their fans through their pay sites.

“The performers win because it’s easy to set up, completely safe and profitable from the very first call,” states a Verified Call spokesperson. “Plus, they make 100 percent of what they charge per minute, because the fans pay a processing fee — no other company in the calling game offers this option and the ability to rake in the cash.”

“Fans know they’re talking to their favorite porn stars, because they are verified before they take their first call,” the spokesperson stated, adding that “website widgets, user notifications and other tools allow performers to promote their availability, further boosting the program’s effectiveness.”

Such services, however, are not the only way in which adult business owners can use phones for profit, even if heavy breathing isn’t always involved.

For example, Google markets an enhanced search listing allowing mobile users to directly call listed businesses; offering an intriguing opportunity to drive new revenues. When using your own phone number, click-to-call extensions allow users of higher-end mobile devices to click your number using Google search, Voice search, Google Mobile, or Google Maps for Mobile. Desktop or laptop computer users will not see your number unless you are using Google’s call metrics.

A customer clicking on the phone number via a mobile device will cost advertisers as much as they pay for a standard ad click, making it a cost effective solution; whether you operate an adult retail location in the real world, or some other venture online.

You might also find Google’s call forwarding service of interest, where the company provides a seamless transfer between its tracked phone numbers and your own numbers, charging a flat fee per call and allowing marketers to determine which ads work best.

However you go about it, bridging telephone use with adult marketing is a winner.
