Windows' God Mode

A recently uncovered hack known as "GodMode" is creating a stir over its ability to provide advanced users of Windows 7 or the 32-bit version of Vista with extensive (and potentially system-devastating) access and administration features.

"This lets users access all of the operating system's control panels from within a single folder," ASACP CTO Tim Henning said. "Some of these controls are hidden from user access so be careful what you fiddle with but it does make getting around, fixing problems and customization a whole lot easier."

To enter "GodMode," create a new folder on your desktop and then rename the folder to the following: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Experts warn that problems could arise if trying this on 64-bit Vista or other systems, but on the compatible platforms, the folder icon will change to look like a control panel, and contained within will be a wide variety of advanced system control options, making this a Swiss Army knife for Windows power users.
