Microsoft Surface

Adult marketers trying to stay on the edge of technology have an endless sea of implementations of known devices complicating an already platform-diverse landscape to contend with, as well as an ongoing torrent of new innovations, "just around the corner."

We need look no further for a dramatic example of this than to Microsoft, who while everyone has been talking about "mobile," has gone and built a cool coffee table PC.

According to the company, Microsoft Surface is targeted towards companies across a variety of industries including retail, hospitality, health care, and public sector, and is "an innovative computing platform that responds to touch, natural hand gestures and real-world objects placed on the display, providing effortless interaction with information and digital content in a simple and intuitive way."

"With a large, 360-degree, horizontal user interface, Surface offers a unique gathering place where multiple users can collaboratively and simultaneously interact with content and each other," stated a Microsoft rep. "In addition, Surface provides businesses with unique value in delivering information and services in a more friendly way allowing better engagement with their customers."

A home version targeting gamers must be in the works, and hot damn, it sounds perfect for porn.

Microsoft Surface provides "a major advancement in computing that moves beyond the traditional user interface to a more natural way of interacting with information."

Not merely a standard PC in a fancy enclosure, the platform offers a unique multi-user experience with a horizontal form factor which makes it easy for several people to gather together for a collaborative, face-to-face computing experience. Microsoft Surface recognizes many points of contact simultaneously, not just from one finger, as with a typical touch screen, but up to dozens and dozens of items at once, says the company.

This high granularity of input allows for direct interaction at previously unseen levels, where users can actually "grab" digital information with their hands and interact with the content through touch and gesture — without the use of a mouse or keyboard.

The adult applications are mind blowing.

Microsoft Surface also features object recognition capabilities where users can place physical objects on the display to trigger different types of digital responses, including the transfer of digital content.

Set a sex toy on it and your favorite video will start to play. Isn't technology great?
