Spankmo Mobilizes Content

Increasingly, traditional adult entertainment website operators are seeking to mobilize their content — expanding delivery options onto new platforms while extending their brand and satisfying customers. Facing a daunting choice of platforms, handsets and technical requirements; operators also increasingly seek out the assistance of a mobile content expert to facilitate this expansion process.

One mobile technology firm that is dedicated to leading content companies down the mobile path is Spankmo, which promises to help you attract new customers, keep them longer, and increase your revenue. Its Mobile Services Platform works alongside your existing site to automatically provide users with a mobile-optimized version of your content. Spankmo will provide a design based on your site, which they claim will not need any technical changes, and they will have you up and running in as little as a week.

According to the company, its mobile users get a rich experience, with full-screen photo galleries, high-quality video optimized for their handset, and a slick user interface that's designed to provide quick access to content.

Spankmo’s business model is flexible and offers customers a mobile site that makes the most sense for their particular business, including per-user, revenue sharing and pay-per-view access; and you can continue to use your existing payment providers. There is also no start up costs for qualified websites.

The Spankmo platform supports images, video, tours and more; with video available in long-form (streaming), and short form (download), formats. DRM is also available for downloaded content, which restricts viewing to the devices which originally downloaded the video — or extend the viewing rights to allow transfers to PC or other devices.

The service is supported on hundreds of devices in at least 90 countries, including the major U.S. carriers, with special versions available for iPhone, Windows Mobile and Blackberry devices. Images are automatically sized for each handset, while videos are automatically transcoded into the proper size and format for each device.

It’s the ease of use, ability to integrate with existing technology and customization potential that make Spankmo stand out, however. For example, there’s no need to make changes to your current signup process, payment providers, or anything else. Spankmo AuthRelay uses your site's existing login and security systems, while power users will want to expand the system to offer a full user experience including tours, previews and blog-style updates; with full site branding including logos and more.

Detailed analytics and reporting are also offered to help operators keep track of their mobile traffic and the content it demands.

Spankmo also offers an affiliate program known as SpankBucks, which pays webmasters 25 percent of net sales for all initial and recurring memberships that result from referrals. Epoch is the payment processor for all Spankmo sites and handles affiliate payouts for the program. Affiliates with an existing Epoch account can easily join Spankmo’s program by entering their Epoch login details, or may set up a new account. Marketing tools are available.

For adult website operators looking to go mobile without having to reinvent the wheel, Spankmo’s offerings are worth a second look.
