Director’s Chair: Jax of All Trades

Jax (yup, that’s his name) could be a poster boy for the U.S. Army’s “Be All You Can Be” campaign. Well, except for the fact he’s a porn director, and he’s beyond enlistment age, and you can’t have a soul patch in the Army, and — okay, forget the Army poster.

Web Consortium Wants Linked Open Data

There is a near infinite amount of data floating around cyberspace, that when taken as a whole, develops an in-depth demo- and psychographic profile of individual consumers. For example, tying the purchases you make using your credit or debit card to the titles of the books and magazines you read; the videos you watch; the music you listen to; the places you travel to — the list is never ending in our barcoded, scan-and-swipe world. Add an email address and social network contacts into this data set, and provide it all to today’s perceptive online marketers, and you have a recipe for advertising success.

Biz Going Down the Tubes?

Watching the political talking heads making their predictions last night as voters across the country head to their primaries today, it occurred to me these cadres of insiders in the world of all things Beltway are not much different then pundits of porn who make up the panels at our industry conferences. Being invited to moderate or participate on of these brain trusts in an honor I enjoyed several time during the Phoenix Forum and it seemed no matter the topic listed on the schedule, the conversation invariably turned to what is believed to be one of the scorns of our beloved, and beleaguered, industry, tube sites.

Sitting Down With the Top Adult SEO Experts

As website owners and affiliates seek to improve the quality and quantity of their organic traffic, many are attempting to expand their search engine optimization efforts. The two biggest obstacles that novice SEOs face are the constantly changing trends dictated by clandestine decisions of the search engine companies, and the simple fact that most people who claim to be SEO experts actually turn out to know little or nothing about the methods that will cause a site to rise in the listings of major search engines. For that reason, XBIZ sat down with some of the top names in adult SEO and asked for current trends or tips that website owners might find useful while evolving their own search traffic strategies.

Adult Biz Eyes Twitterverse

The new phenomenon in computing is, of course, mobile computing. Today more potential customers of adult content are found walking around fiddling with their mobile devices than behind computer screens. Emerging out this wireless paradigm appears Twitter.com — nothing unique about Twitter, just a way to broadcast messages to multiple mobile users. Yet what is so unique about HTML and the browser? Nothing at all — aside form the fact that they have become the standard for worldwide information sharing over the Internet.
