CommerceGate Enters Into Strategic Partnership with DHD Media, SegPay

LONDON — Internet payment service provider CommerceGate has teamed up with DHD Media and SegPay to offer online payment solutions and other merchant services to the U.S. market.

The global deal brings together CommerceGate, which is based in Ireland, while DHD makes its home in Culver City, Calif., and SegPay works out of Coral Springs, Fla.

CommerceGate CEO Bjorn Skarlen said that he and his company have always sought to gain the respect of the entire online community.

“Our goal has always been to establish ourselves as a global brand, a name that is synonymous with trust and reliability,” he said. “This strategic relationship with DHD Media and SegPay levels the playing field and allows us to compete directly with the large established IPSPs in the US market.”

To that end, CommerceGate enters the U.S. market promising to provide competitive prices and a host of products and services, all bolstered by a variety of strong relationships with established banks.

SegPay CEO Cathy Beardsley praised CommerceGate's solid track record.

“Their innovative practices follow our business structure and that’s what makes this relationship so strong” she said. “The more we work together, the more obvious the benefits.”

DHD Media President Ron Jenkins said that he and his team decided to enter into this three-way partnership with CommerceGate and SegPay with an eye toward the future.

“Aligning ourselves with a strong European service provider such as Commerce Gate, in conjunction with the domestic capabilities of SegPay, enhances our world-class service,” he said.
