Bad Ass Frank Set to Publish Tell-All Book

LOS ANGELES — “Bad Ass” Frank Prather, founder of Bad Ass Models, is getting ready to dish his experiences in the adult entertainment industry in a tell-all book, which he plans to self-publish.

“Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy: An Insider’s Tale of Sex, Heartbreak and Paranoid Schizophrenia in the Adult Industry” is scheduled to hit online retailers including Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com in February, Frank told XBIZ.

For Frank, originally a comedy writer who was on the brink of a script deal with Comedy Central before stumbling into the adult industry by chance, a return to writing — which he says he never gave up when he started Bad Ass Models — comes naturally.

Frank claims to have an audience of more than 100,000 viewers of his website/blog www.BadAssFrank, and with that, he decided to forgo the traditional route of signing with a literary agent and trying to secure a book deal – although he did both and was offered just that at one point.

“Quite honestly, the upfront advance wasn’t that much, and I have an audience and a platform on which to sell the book,” Frank told XBIZ. “Instead of 7.5 percent of the royalties, I can get 90 percent.”

Frank is tight-lipped about specific experiences contained in the book and says he “won’t name any names” until the book comes out. He promises that “he won’t pull any punches” and give a “full disclosure” of his three years in the adult entertainment industry.

“You’ll laugh and gag simultaneously,” he said. “My two most successful clients I dated for almost a year. One is severely bipolar and the other is a paranoid schizophrenic. I’m an amateur psychologist.”

Frank plans to make a number of media appearances, including radio, to promote the book, as well as employ some “unique marketing” techniques.
