"This is my first XXX movie," Jones told XBIZ. "I used to live in L.A. and worked in regular film for years. Did a lot of low-budget horror. I'm not new to filmmaking, but I'm new to pornography."
"Craig'slist Compulsion" is about what Jones calls webwalkers: "They're like streetwalkers, but on the web." Each reality-based scene starts with an interview segment, followed by a music video and then a sex scene.
"You'd have to ask the girls whether the interview is real," Jones said. "I was looking for entertaining stories about their lives. The stories, I think, are real, but as far as specifics you'd have to ask them how far they elaborated"
The production stars Nikki Rhodes, Roxy DeVille, Ashley Roberts and Annie Cruz, with Justin, Tommy Salami, Alec Knight and Johnny Salami.
"I have a particular style, and I'm uncompromising about it," Jones said. "It didn't go over well in Hollywood. I want to do good movies with solid plots that also have sex in them."
Jones told XBIZ that he was not familiar with plot-driven adult films before he started working with VCX.
"It's opened my eyes to a whole new style of filmmaking," Jones said. "I had heard the stories, but a lot of people don't have the exposure to it. I try to bring a certain classic element, because classic porn is more like classic filmmaking. And I come from the traditional film background."
Plans call for VCX to release "Craig'slist Compulsion" on DVD and Blu-ray by the end of September.
