The pop culture hit known for capturing candid video of Spring Break and Mardi Gras revelers, among others, took its cameras to 17 Canadian cities in February and March to film Canadian coeds and partygoers for its first-ever DVD filmed and distributed exclusively in the Great White North — or anywhere outside the United States, Mantra Spokesman Bill Horn told XBiz.
“This is an exciting milestone for ‘Girls Gone Wild’ since, in our 8-year history, we have never released a non-U.S. title. “Bottom line, Canadians are going to love ‘Girls Gone Wild Canada’ because Canadian girls are sexy, especially when they’re naked.”
“We had such a warm welcome last time at each of venues we visited, and the crowds were fantastic, we knew we wanted to go back,” Horn added.
Horn said that women who want to participate in the videos are filmed onboard the “Girls Gone Wild” bus, rather than in bars to comply with liquor laws and to make the women feel safe and comfortable away from raucous crowds.
However, the crew will film inside bars to capture the spirit of the cities and venues they visit during the tours.
“These are 100 percent Canadian girls,” Horn told XBiz. “It’s not staged. It’s the girl next door doing something she wouldn’t normally do.”
