“This is easily one of the most attractive casts I’ve ever worked with,” said writer/director Jett Blakk, “and no one has ever looked better in wrestling togs.”
In the film, fan-favorite Kaden Saylor signs up for amateur wrestling contest titled “Slambash” and becomes embroiled in the sexual shenanigans surrounding it.
Blakk describes Saylor as “sheer blond perfection: handsome, muscular, a real sweetheart. He’s a good ol’ boy! He also looked amazing in that silver wrestling singlet.”
“Jett Blakk presented me with the perfect script and I saw it as the ideal opportunity to cross over eight of our hottest Active Duty stars to fill out the entire cast of a Dirty Bird Pictures release,” said Flamingo.
Saylor joins mono-named performers Brock, Chaz, Cole, Domenic, Kasey, Reese and Spencer.
Blakk told XBIZ the “Ringleader” concept came from an Active Duty model who tangled with a crooked wrestling circuit manager with a rep for promising a top slot to performers in exchange for sex.
“But I decided to make the wrestling show more of a rural circuit thing and have the story center on a guy who’s tempted to join them,” Blakk said.
The prospect of filling out his cast exclusively with Active Duty models gave Blakk pause. “All but three of these guys had only done amateur stuff, which is very loosely structured and shot in an easygoing style,” Blakk said.
By contrast, “my shoots have scripts and call times and makeup and glamour layouts,” he said. “And as a result, [they] are more structured. I didn’t know how the guys would take to that.”
Nor was he able to indulge in a favorite good-luck charm of sorts by casting a performer he’s shot in the past. “I had never worked with any of the Active Duty men,” he said, “so while they were all buddies, I was the outsider and I didn’t know how they’d respond to my authority as the director.”
Blakk notes he worried over nothing. “It turned out not to be a big deal. The guys were so gorgeous my crew gushed over them. Dink visited the set and threw us a barbecue. It was like a frat house.”
Dirty Bird has produced recent titles “Father Knows Best” and “Mug Shots” with Blakk at the helm. He is currently in pre-production on “Endgame,” which he tells XBIZ contains “a surprise, a big surprise. Something the entire industry will be talking about.”
