Digital Playground Launches 'Pirates II' Website, Announces Street Date

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Digital Playground has launched the official "Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge" website and announced a Sept. 27 street date for the four-disc DVD package.

"Since the website is essentially the gateway to the new film, it was imperative to create a site which conveys the sexiness and immense budget of the film," said Joone, Digital Playground founder and writer and director of "Pirates" and "Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge."

"It also was important for the website to allow easy access to all things 'Pirates.' 'Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge' is more than just a movie; it's an experience, and we want everyone to be able to participate."

The website offers trailers, a photo gallery, behind-the-scenes videos, disc features, film information and news of the upcoming release. Fans can download promotional banners, videos, and wallpapers for use on personal social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook.

"We'll be updating the page every week with a new behind-the-scenes featurette," Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis said. "The film is phenomenal, and I believe that people will be really excited to see how we reached the finished product. The cast and crew had so much fun with each other, constantly laughing and playing jokes."

"Pirates II" stars Digital Playground contract girls Jesse Jane, Shay Jordan, Katsuni, Stoya, Riley Steele and Gabriella Fox, with Belladonna, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Brianna Love, Abbey Brooks, Shawna Lenee, Rhylee Richards, Brea Lynn, Shyla Stylez and Veronica Rayne. Evan Stone, Tommy Gunn and Steven St. Croix reprise their roles from the original "Pirates" and are joined by Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, Marco Banderas, Mick Blue, Ben English, and Charles Dera.

"Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge" was directed by Joone, and produced by Joone and Samantha Lewis.
