The most recent Batman movie, "The Dark Knight," opened July 18 and already has grossed a reported $441 million in the 24 days it has been in release.
Actress Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the '60s TV show "Batman," is supporting Jolie for the role.
"Angelina would own the part," Newmar told the New York Daily News. "I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love, [and] she's tremendously popular with women."
A representative for Patrick told XBIZ that Patrick is traveling and unavailable for comment.
