AdultMobileSolutions Sees Spike in Sales, Plans U.S. Expansion

LONDON — AdultMobileSolutions, the adult division of U.K. mobile specialists txtNation, announced it has seen a 200 percent increase in WAP, or wireless application protocol, site sales and orders during the last six months.

Among its other services, AMS builds WAP sites and provides mobile billing solutions.

AMS Director Michael Whelan told XBIZ the company would be spending additional resources on that sector of its business to further drive sales.

“Our billing provides a way for us to track which users are converting,” Whelan told XBIZ. “And we’ve had sizeable orders come in from our existing client base. Our next targets are U.S.-based WAP sites. There are a number of them who haven’t moved into mobile as fast the European market.”

AMS told XBIZ that the company is planning an expansion of sorts with another European company to offer a white label WAP/mobile site creation tool. According to Whelan, the product will have never-before seen features and will allow webmasters to build and deploy adult sites.

“The future of adult mobile is growing,” Whelan said. “I think all the predictions for mobile adult are still expected but later — the market is still on the verge of making this move in a much bigger way.”

AMS is plugged into both NATS and MPA3 for its SMS billing component. The WAP creation system has been deployed on more than 20 adult mobile sites.

TxtNation has introduced several services over the years, the first being PeopleFind (a mobile chat and dating application), mPush (a content-to-mobile application), mChat (an SMS text chatting option) and, most recently, mEnable (an SMS and mobile phone billing option).
