"When the guys at Terminal Press told me their story idea, we were a little concerned," Arrow Marketing Director Robert Interlandi said. "But once Raymond Pistol and I saw the awesome artwork and the story in comic-book form, we got it. We think our fans will, too." The "Candy Stripers" comic follows its main character, Nurse Jessamine, into a situation where blindly following the commands of those with authority traps her in a cycle of destructive and morally reprehensible behavior. She has to decide whether to take personal responsibility and resist those in power or fall victim to the perils of obedience.
"Candy Stripers" was written by Brian Ferrara, who also penned "Debbie Does Dallas" and "Silent Assassin," with art by Garrett Eisenheim, colors by Adam Street, lettering by Narek Gevorgian and separations by Joe Frazzetta.
"Candy Stripers" will be available at the 2008 San Diego ComicCon starting July 24 at booth 1221. The limited edition print run will only be available through Terminal Press through its website and convention appearances.
