Chi Chi LaRue's “Link: The Evolution” (All Worlds Video) scored four wins throughout the evening, including Best All Sex Video.
The highly coveted Best Newcomer Award was tied between Rascal Exclusive Blake Riley and Steve Cruz. This marks the second Best Newcomer win for Riley; as he was also awarded the same title at the 2008 GAYVN Awards.
"I was excited, overwhelmed and honored about the whole night," Rascal Exclusive Blake Riley said. "Being a trophy stud was a lot of fun and jumping into the audience for each of my nominations kept me busy for most of the time; but it was so exciting. I was surprised about my awards, especially winning Best Newcomer again; and it's great to share the title with Steve Cruz who is a really great friend."
Co-Best Newcomer Steve Cruz was also awarded with the Best Group Sex Scene along with Johnny Hazzard, Brendan Davies, Joe Strong and Matt Majors for their performance in “Link: The Evolution.”
Rascal Exclusives Johnny Hazzard and Blake Riley took home the award for Best Rimming Scene for their work in Chi Chi LaRue's “Restless Youths.” Continuing on his winning streak, Blake Riley was also awarded the Best Threeway Scene; along with Kevin Miles and Scott Tanner for “Link: The Evolution.”
“Link: The Evolution” also brought in the award for Best DVD Extras for its in-depth behind-the-scene's footage and Chad Hunt's video diary.
Director Doug Jeffries was inducted into the Grabby Wall of Fame for his achievements as both an actor and director.
The 2008 Grabby Awards took place at the Park West Theatre in Chicago, hosted by the C1R founding partner Chi Chi LaRue and Honey West; with co-hosts Trevor Knight, Titan Men Exclusive Dean Flynn and Raging Stallion Exclusive Jake Deckard.
The evening's “trophy studs” were Rascal Exclusive Blake Riley, Jet Set Exclusive Aaron James, Hot House Exclusive Ross Hurston and Colt Man Ricky Parks.
