40 Models Pose for BurningAngel Photo Book

BROOKLYN — Joanna Angel, founder of alternative porn site BurningAngel, has released “BurningAngel,” a 360-page photo book filled with artsy, nude and explicit photos.

Conceptualized by Angel, who wrote the forward, the book features 40 BurningAngel models, including Angel. Among the models featured are Pixie Pearl, Jessie Lee, Pinky Lee, January Darling, Kylee Kross, Angela Ryan, Sabrina Sparx, Morgan Mae, Jade Jolie, Riley Mason, Charlotte Stokely, Gia Paloma and other BurningAngel models.

The picture book was shot entirely by staff photographer “The Lovely Brenda” on Brooklyn rooftops, art studios, apartments, lofts and intersections in the middle of Williamsburg, Brooklyn streets.

“Most of the credit for this book goes to Brenda,” Joanna Angel told XBIZ. “She is an amazing photographer.”

Angel added that she expects the book to attract adult fans that may not have known about the site before. There are approximately 700 photos, two photos per page.

“We love the whole attitude and politics of BurningAngel.com,” said staff publisher Stephanie at Goliath. “The models just rock. They are cool, sexy, rebellious, self-aware and self-defined. The Lovely Brenda’s photos are not ‘arty’ or pretentious, they are colorful and authentic. Goliath is constantly looking for fresh and unconventional photography presenting the real iconography of modern life and that’s exactly what’s displayed in the book. It’s been a great pleasure to work with such a professional team. All of us Goliath’s are really proud of this fine piece of printed art and culture.”

The book is published by Goliath books and after a European release last month, "BurningAngel" debuts stateside this week.

A party to celebrate the book’s release will be held on Saturday, May 31 at Savalas on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn. BurningAngel models will be on hand to sign copies of the book.
