The company will share a booth with gay adult networking website Manhunt.net at the IML Leather Market, located at the Chicago’s Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Hot House exclusives Francesco D’Macho, Ty LeBeouf, Johnny Gunn and Ross Hurston will appear at the booth at various times, from May 23-25, to meet-and-greet fans, sign autographs and take photos.
Special pricing on all Hot House DVDs will be given at the booth, including discounts on their latest releases “Paging Dr. Finger” and “Red Hanky.”
In preparation for the Grabby Awards, which take place on May 24 at the Park West Theatre in Chicago, Hot House will co-host a party with award show organizer Gay Chicago magazine. The inaugural event is called the “Welcome to Chicago” party and will take place tomorrow night at nightclub Spin, located in the Boystown area.
Staring a new tradition, Gay Chicago plans on holding the welcome party every year, which will be co-hosted by the studio recognized in the previous year for “Best Picture.” Last year, Hot House won the Best Picture award for its title “Justice.”
On Saturday night, Hot House founder and director Steven Scarborough will attend the Grabbys with the Hot House crew in tow. The studio has been nominated 26 times in various categories. Hot House exclusive Ross Thurston will also serve as a “trophy boy” during the ceremonies, and Ty LeBeouf also will help to present the Best Picture award.
Acknowledging that a downturn in DVD sales and revenue has affected many adult studios, and that monetary concerns have cut into promotional budgets for many producers, Hot House Vice President Brent Smith said, ““The industry has had to make some difficult cuts in promotional budgets this year due to the economic downturn.
“Missing IML was simply not an option,” Smith added. “Our fans have come to expect this opportunity to hang with our exclusives, and we love the opportunity to talk with them at length and get a sense of how we’re doing.”
