As of Friday evening, the YouTube video, which skips sexually explicit scenes, has been seen 22,000 times.
"Gov Love," which streets May 27, offers social commentary with an adult twist, said David Diamond, Hustler Video’s national sales manager.
"The Spitzer scandal is still making headlines, and we were lucky to be able to release this parody DVD in a timely fashion,” said David Diamond, Hustler Video’s national sales manager.
“Gov Love” centers around a N.Y. governor, played by adult star Mike Horner, as he arranges his private rendezvous and fulfills his sexual desires. Horner eagerly places his order with the Pimperor's Club. As "Client 69," he agrees to fork over thousands for an all-expense-paid trip so that his mistress, Kristen, can meet him in Washington.
Kristen, played by Cassandra Cruz, arrives at the governor's hotel to find him eagerly awaiting her arrival. Client 69 later finds out that FBI agents on a stakeout in the next room. The agents, played by Van Damage and Veronica Jett, are so turned on by what they are overhearing in the governor's room that they decide to have some fun of their own.
Directed by Stuart Canterbury, “Gov Love” also features performances by Dino Bravo, Kayla Paige, Marcus London, Angela Stone, Emma Heart and Kissy Kapri.
Another adult company, Arrow Productions, also has found success with YouTube.
The company's "Deep Throat Energy Drink Blooper" is now up to 100,000 views so far. Arrow has been marketing the drink on YouTube for six months.
