The video focuses on five friends — Ruby Knox, Roxy DeVille, Bella Lynn, Seth Dickens, and Jack Vegas — who pick up a hitchhiker after a wrong turn in the backwoods of Texas. The wrong turns continue as the five have to deal with "a whirlwind of tattoo covered, cannibalistic, sex starved maniacs, voyeurism, and a gas powered vibrator wielding mutant," according to the company.
"Rob continues to push the envelope and deliver some the most unique and acclaimed movies in the business today," said Rick Porras, Metro's Director of Operations. "He continues to re-invent the genre of alt-porn with his cult-like following, and his keen eye for successfully mixing hardcore with gore."
"The Texas Vibrator Massacre" made its debut at the MIP-TV Convention, which was held March 30-April 3 in Cannes, France. Before that, the video was available as a video-on-demand pre-release on Gamelink.com. Metro Interactive's pre-release advertising also included several months of promotional posters, T-shirt giveaways and specialty mailers. The trailer for "The Texas Vibrator Massacre" can be seen at Goflix.com.
Metro plans to cut a non-sex version and submit it to the MPAA for an "R" rating and mainstream release.
